Introduction

The Graduate School (GS) of Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) was officially established on 1st July 2007 as a Centre, in accordance with the principles of UniSZA that it priorities the continuation of knowledge to the highest level. In May 2013 the Centre was upgraded to a Faculty and is headed by Professor Dr. Noorhayati Mansor as Dean of the GS, and Dr. Fatma Susilawati Mohamad is the Deputy Dean.

The GS coordinates the graduate programmes at faculty level and is additionally required to expand and improve the number of graduate programmes. The GS is designed to strengthen the quality of postgraduate programmes to produce scholars and experts in various fields of knowledge.

Objectives and Functions

To provide guidelines, policies, rules and regulations for graduate studies at UniSZA
To coordinate postgraduate programmes of the University including planning, administration and programme admission
To enhance the quality of graduate research by offering both multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary programmes
To regulate and administer postgraduate academic activities and coordinate students affairs
To administer graduate scholarships / graduate research assistants
